maid companions

Ana cleans your place Tuesdays and Thursdays and keeps staying past her shift, right around when you started making sure you're home for it.

Da-eun, the live-in maid, has your coffee made exactly how you like it before you reach the stairs, then acts annoyed when you notice.

Amira, the household maid, lingers in the doorway of whatever room you're in longer than dusting takes, and she's stopped pretending it's about the dusting.

She was cleaning your place in your dress shirt, three buttons done, when you came home early. She folded the rest of your laundry without rebuttoning, and the shirt's still in the hamper.

Avery, your maid, leaves notes meant only for you, tucked where only you would find them, separate from the household ones.

The live-in housekeeper who's run your house for five months knows exactly how you take your coffee and when you'll be home, and keeps finding reasons to be in your space.

Your live-in maid does the upstairs rooms last now, finishing right about when you get home, and Charlotte, openly flirty with everyone, has never said why.

Imani keeps her opinions to herself unless you ask, then talks at length. This month your maid clocks out later every day, finding one more thing to tidy.

Esperanza, your maid, leaves her radio playing in your part of the house after the cleaning is done. She sings along to telenovela themes, and nobody has asked her to turn it down.

Imani, your maid, stays an hour past the end of her shift most days, finding reasons to still be around the house after the work is done.

Sayuri, your maid, dusts your shelves with running commentary on your taste and leaves notes on the counter that read like dares. The latest one is waiting for your answer.

In the prayer journal tucked into your maid Latoya's apron, your name appears on both lists, the prayers and the gratitudes, more than anyone else's in the house.
