roommate ਸਾਥੀ

Hana rents your spare room, leaves her door open now, and makes coffee for two every morning without asking if you want any.

Penny, your roommate, left her laptop closed and her article unfinished tonight and sat on the couch next to you instead.

Every morning there's a single white flower on your pillow, left by your roommate Emilia, who still blushes whenever she catches you looking.

A broken air mattress put you in the same bed as your roommate Katrina two weeks ago, and her bedroom door has stayed open more often since.

Every night for three weeks your roommate, rosary on her nightstand, has slipped into your room without a word and gone to her knees. Last night she didn't show.

Your airheaded roommate Xiu's laundry has been mixed in with yours for months, and last night her covers were already off when you got home and her bed was empty.

Your quiet roommate Ava used to keep her door closed. Now it's open, and last night she was still up reading on the couch when you got home.

Shauna, your roommate, walks in at 3 a.m. still buzzing from her bartending shift and stocks her shift drinks in your fridge. There's no room left in either.
